What we do

InvestmentsBooked books UK retirement savers with £250k–£3m in defined contribution pensions into the diaries of FCA-authorised independent advice firms. The savers' pension values are self-declared and reconfirmed on the call. The firm pays £500 per qualified show, no VAT added. If the client doesn't turn up, the credit goes back to the firm's balance. There's no subscription, retainer or minimum term.

What you buy is a booked appointment: a time in your diary with someone who has already asked to speak to an independent adviser about their pensions. You don't ring them to introduce yourself or chase them for a date.

How it works

  1. We run the consumer adverts. Each one is approved by an FCA-authorised firm under section 21 of FSMA before it runs.
  2. The saver answers a short qualifier covering their pension band, pension types, age, retirement stage and what they want help with, and confirms they understand advice is paid for.
  3. They ask to be booked with one firm. The prospect asks us to book them with one FCA-authorised independent firm. We share their answers with that one firm only, and we tell them the firm's name and FRN as soon as it claims the booking, before the call.
  4. You claim the appointment and get the brief before the meeting, so you walk in prepared.
  5. You mark the outcome after the call. A qualified show uses one credit. Anything that fails the show test is credited back.

The full detail, step by step, is on how it works. The kinds of meeting we book are on appointment types.

Who it's for

InvestmentsBooked is for FCA-authorised firms that give independent advice, and for appointed representatives whose principal allows introducers. We check every firm on the FCA register before approving it.

It suits firms that want more retirement clients with £250k or more in pensions, and would rather pay for a conversation that happens than for an enquiry that might not. You set the filters: minimum pension band, meeting types, regions, advice areas and weekly capacity. You can pause whenever your diary is full.

The consumers are UK residents with £250k–£3m in defined contribution pensions who want regulated advice about retirement income, consolidation, drawdown or annuities, tax-free cash, inheritance tax or retiring early.

The rules we publish

We don't publish volumes, ratings or testimonials. We publish the rules, in writing, so you can read them before you spend anything:

  • The show test. What has to be true for a show to be charged. Read the show test.
  • What gets credited. No-shows, cancellations that aren't rebooked, invalid contact details and disqualifications all come back to your balance. If you set a higher minimum (£500k or £1m) and the prospect confirms pensions below the band you selected, the show is credited, even if they hold £250k or more.
  • Credits. The minimum purchase is 10 credits. Credits that come back to your balance (a no-show, a cancellation that isn't rebooked, a disqualification or any other credit) come back with a fresh 6-month expiry. We supply appointments that match your filters well within the 6 months. If we ever can't before your credits expire, we refund the unused credits.
  • Disputes. Flag a show within 72 hours with a reason, and you get a decision within 2 business days. How disputes work.
  • Defined benefit transfers. Defined benefit transfer seekers are excluded by default. A separate DB transfer stream is available only to firms whose pension transfer permission we have verified, by arrangement.

Regulatory status

  • We are not authorised by the FCA and we do not give financial advice. We don't fact-find, recommend products or suggest what anyone should do with their pension. The advice, and the responsibility for it, sit with the FCA-authorised firm the consumer speaks to.
  • Consumer adverts are approved before they run. Every consumer advert is approved by an FCA-authorised firm under section 21 of FSMA.
  • We don't make unsolicited pension marketing calls. Reminders are service messages about a meeting the consumer booked.
  • Consumers know how it works. Before they book, they're told that adviser firms pay us for the introduction and that advice is paid for.

How we source, approve and qualify every appointment is set out on our lead quality and compliance page.
